Where and how to get Free Drug Samples
Prescription and Over-the-Counter

Below, I will list free drug samples by mail on select over-the-counter products as they become available. These samples will include pain relievers, vitamins, supplements and other such free samples.

Each time you visit your doctor, ask for free drug samples. If you have a good doctor that has been prescribing this drug to you anyway, they will be happy to help! Don’t be ashamed to ask! They have a room full of free medicines that were given to them expressly for the purpose of giving them away to patients.

Have you ever noticed those people coming in, very well dressed, with briefcases, when you're in the doctor's waiting room. They always get buzzed in ahead of the patients. Well, they represent the pharmaceutical companies. They get to go straight back with their freebies. The next time you're in your doctor's office and waiting room look around. You'll see the free posters, the free hand sanitizer bottles, the tissue boxes, the boxes of gloves and so on and so on with names of medications and pharmaceutical companies on them. These are all given to the doctor's offices for free along with free medications for us to try by the pharmaceutical companies. Of course, the hope is that the doctor will prescribe that drug to us, then we're on it for years or even for life, and ching-ching for the pharmaceutical company. Ask yourself - when is the last time the doctor took you OFF of a medication? It's a rarity, right?!!! Unless, you complain about having side-effects from it. So, we all pay for these freebies in the way of over-priced medications. And I look at it this way... the doctor's are getting their freebies, so we might as well get ours!

So, either tell your doctor if you don't have insurance and can't afford to buy the pills. Or if you've run out and need some to tide you over until you can afford more. Even if you have insurance, but the insurance won't cover the pill because it's not generic, and the pill is way too expensive (I had that situation once. The pill cost $25 a piece - ridiculous!), ask if they can spare any. Then say that you'll take as many as they can spare! Sometimes you will be surprised at the quantity of free samples that your doctor will give to you. When I didn't have insurance, some of my doctors were VERY, VERY generous with the free samples! So don't be afraid to let them know your situation.

Walmart Free Samples
This is one of the most reliable Free Sample programs around! You can always trust that you will receive their samples. Check their site frequently, as it is popular and the samples go fairly soon. They always have a variety of free samples.

Target Sample Spot
Their free samples go quickly, so I'd advise you check their page regularly. Target's free samples also vary widely and could include free razor samples, free skincare samples, free cereal and other free food samples by mail, free makeup samples, free shampoo or conditioner and more!

Vocalpoint
Join Vocalpoint and they will periodically send you emails notifying you of Free Samples available. Important: Respond right away requesting those samples, because they go quickly, and they give away some great samples. They will ask you to complete surveys regarding the samples you receive, but it's your choice whether or not to complete them. It's not mandatory.

Sam's Club
Sam's club periodically offers free samples to their members on their website.  You can check this page periodically.


Costco
Click the Costco link above, and in the search box, type in "free sample." The most recent free sample offers will pop up.  Click into each one and see which free samples are available.  Costco periodically offers its members free samples, such as free diapers, free toothpaste, free hair care products and more.  You can check their page periodically, or you can follow my freebies blog and I'll notify you when the freebies by mail become available. A 12-digit Costco member number is required.


Direct from Manufacturers
You can get discount coupons and/or coupons for free products simply by emailing the product manufacturer directly. I've done this many times myself. Email them with a compliment, product suggestion or even a complaint, and many times, they will send you product coupons. Email them specifically asking for product coupons and guess what, they'll send you coupons! Tell them how much you or a family member love their product (tell them which specific product), then ask if they can mail you any free product coupons or discount coupons. Nine times out of ten, you'll get them!

Follow the brands that you wear and like on Facebook and Twitter and be on the lookout for announcements of product giveaways.
