Some of the ways that you get free products are through Points and Rewards programs. When you purchase certain companies products, you will retrieve the codes from the product packaging and enter the codes on their website. Then once you've accumulated enough points, you can use your points to purchase free products or gift cards from their online catalogs. Basically, they are rewarding you for purchasing their brand of products by providing you with free stuff!
A few of the offers are for free trials or trial periods. Never be afraid to take advantage of free trial offers as long as you've read the fine print and know the exact date that you need to cancel before your credit card will be charged. This information should always be in writing, along with instructions informing you how to cancel (should you wish to do so). Then all you have to do is to set a reminder, either on a calendar, on your computer (i.e., a program like Microsoft Outlook Calendar), or something as simple as a Post-It note on the door that you exit to work from. Of course, if you like the product or service, you can keep it going. I'll share a tip with you that I use: we have a large desk calendar pinned to the wall at the door that exits to the garage. You can't miss this calendar as you exit! All events are listed on it: birthdays, anniversaries, doctor's appointments, and any reminders. We check it every morning, and add to it as needed.
Some companies will give you free products, but will require you to pay for the shipping. In those cases, I have mentioned that you will need to pay for the shipping. If you find that any of the other companies charge for shipping (that I have not mentioned), please drop me a line so that I can mention it.
