Outdoor Activities

Barnes and Noble
They offer regular events, including free weekly Story Times inside the stores. Visit the bottom of their website and click on the Store Locator button just below the words "Stores and Events."

Bass Pro Shops
Bass Pro Shops offers events for free through-out the year! Visit their website and go to the Store Events section to see what activities are coming up.

Bass Pro Shops offers Family Summer Camp in June and July, with activities like Free Workshops and Free Crafts weekly.

Mid-November to Christmas Eve each year, Bass Pro Shops offers Santa's Wonderland to kids. Activities include: Photos with Santa, cookie decorating, slot car races and more!

EAA Young Eagles Program
The EAA Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people, ages 8 - 17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.

Home Depot
The first Saturday of every month, Home Depot offers free do-it-yourself Kids Workshops. Visit their site to see the current schedule and class information.

Kids Bowl Free
Kids must register to receive 2 free games of bowling everyday all summer long!

Kids Skate Free
Kids Skate Free is a program designed to help children get out and be active in their local community by offering FREE admission to their local skating centers during the Summer. Register at your local location.

Lakeshore Learning
They offer free crafts for kids every Saturday from 11am to 3pm. For kids ages 3 and up. No reservations necessary. Check their website for information regarding the classes.

LEGO
Lego offers monthly mini model builds for kids at their stores each month (usually the first Tuesday of every month). For children ages 6 to 14. Kids get to build and keep a themed model. Lowe's offers the Build and Grow Free Kids Clinics on certain Saturdays. Register in advance for these classes on their website.

Microsoft
Microsoft offers the Free YouthSpark Summer Camp each year for kids 8 and older. It's a 4-day event, and for 2 hours each day, kids learn things like smart game coding and design. On their website, select your Store/Location to register.

Open Outdoors for Kids - National Park Foundation
They offer a program called Every Kid in a Park that provides the opportunity for every 4th Grader (and their family) in the USA to experience the public lands and waters for free. Sign up for the program to get a Pass to gain free entry to National Parks, National Forests, National Wildlife Refuges, and more.
